This notice is Novo’s account of the personal data this website processes, under the GDPR.

Who is responsible

The controller is Novo, established in Germany. You reach Novo through Contact us and through the details in the Impressum.

A stay request

When you request a stay, Novo processes your first and last name, email address, telephone number, the house, the dates, the number of guests, and your message. Novo uses them to answer, to carry out the stay if it is confirmed, and to issue the invoice. The legal basis is Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

How a message is delivered

A request and a newsletter signup are emailed to Novo through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which acts only as the courier. Novo does not sell personal data.

News of new houses

Novo sends news of new houses only with your consent, under Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect what was lawful before.

On your device

Your language, saved houses, and a request you have not sent remain in this browser until you submit the request or clear them. Novo does not use advertising or analytics cookies.

How long Novo keeps data

An unanswered request is deleted within 6 months. Invoices and booking records are kept for 8 years, and booking letters for 6 years, from the end of the year they were created. A newsletter address is kept until you withdraw consent. A registration form required by law is kept for one year and then destroyed.

Protection of the form

Novo keeps a short record of repeated attempts, so the form cannot be flooded. The legal basis is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The record is kept only as long as that protection needs.

Your rights under the GDPR

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of the data you provided. You may object where Novo relies on a legitimate interest, and you may withdraw a consent at any time. You may complain to the data protection authority of the German state where Novo is established, or to the authority where you live.
